vtec solenoid

vtec solenoid

i am in need of vtec spool assembly. now new they are $550.00, im thinking of getting it used, is there much problems with the solenoids. or should i get new.

you can even use D-series vtec solenoids on the B-series, i've seen this about 3-4 times now without any issues.

I'd just get a used one.

h series solenoids wont work. Just though i'd add that.

my motor now isnt vtec soo i have to go get one anyways. ok soo used it is..

you know you cant just bolt on a vtec solenoid right?...

You said your current engine is not vtec, and your in search for a vtec solenoid, but you mention nothing about having a vtec engine. The heads are completely different,you cant just bolt on the solenoid. If you want vtec you either have to do a mini-me swap (take a vtec head off a vtec d-series and put it on your block,lots of work) or do a motor swap(quite a bit of work...but a lot less,and likely cheaper, than a head swap)

i think what he meant was that his current engine in his car doesn't have vtec, but he needs one for the engine he's building.

okay lol. You never mentioned a new motor and i know people have actually thing you can just add vtec to ANY motor.

i've got a bunch of vtec solenoids B and D-series at the shop if you want one.

I could bring one home one day and meet up with you since I live in Stoney Creek as well.
