vtec solenoid from SiR in my si?

vtec solenoid from SiR in my si?
someone told me if I take the vtec solenoid from an SiR and put it into my 98 si, during VTEC it will sound like the DOHC does.. is this true???
even with my AEM CAI you can barely tell vtec is engaged, in comparison to the SiR! other sohc vtec owners know what I mean.. sohc sucks!!!!!
