vtec solenoid
i am in need of vtec spool assembly. now new they are $550.00, im thinking of getting it used, is there much problems with the solenoids. or should i get new.
thanks |
you can even use D-series vtec solenoids on the B-series, i've seen this about 3-4 times now without any issues.
I'd just get a used one. |
h series solenoids wont work. Just though i'd add that.
my motor now isnt vtec soo i have to go get one anyways. ok soo used it is..
thanks guys |
you know you cant just bolt on a vtec solenoid right?...
what do you mean.
You said your current engine is not vtec, and your in search for a vtec solenoid, but you mention nothing about having a vtec engine. The heads are completely different, you cant just bolt on the solenoid. If you want vtec you either have to do a mini-me swap (take a vtec head off a vtec d-series and put it on your block, lots of work) or do a motor swap(quite a bit of work...but a lot less, and likely cheaper, than a head swap)
i think what he meant was that his current engine in his car doesn't have vtec, but he needs one for the engine he's building.
ya mon, zee knows what im doing. im in search of a vtec assembley for my new motor
okay lol. You never mentioned a new motor and i know people have actually thing you can just add vtec to ANY motor.
i've got a bunch of vtec solenoids B and D-series at the shop if you want one.
I could bring one home one day and meet up with you since I live in Stoney Creek as well. |
