Plz Help With Engine Troubles!! :(

So I have a 96 Civic hatch, and my motor is finished (burns oil like a b****, stuff shoots out of the exhaust in the mornings!). I want to switch just the engine to a y8 with vtec.

I need to know what I need to do this. Is it just the engine and the ecu? and can I use ANY y8 ecu, or are there different models? Any and all help is appreciated.

All D series match D series, like B on B. You will also need to wire your vtec. Then get 3" exhaust, spoiler, and stickers... lots of them!

Jokes, you should be good. Just ecu & vtec wire

You will need a VTEC ecu if you want VTEC to work, and also run a wire to the solenoid.

jdm?

I hope its not the 2-stage vtec engine....thats a vtec-E engine which is PURE economy, if you want 600kms to a tank of gas this engine is great, but the performance is lacking hard.

If you get a d16y8 engine, you just need the d16y8 ecu (P2P).
