Thanks jamie for the response.....do you think i could run a si ecu instead of p28 and it will be fine?

P28 is the si ecu, P27 is the stock SOHC ecu....what year si are you talking about?

sorry P05, P06, P07 are the stovk ecu's not P27

You have to use a vtec compatible ecu such as P07 or P28

thanks alot jamie i have a p2p ecu that i was planning on using hopefully that will do the trick for now until i get some cash for a p28 ecu....has anyone tried using a d16 ecu for a mini-me before?

P28 is a D16 ecu...thats the one my mini-me had in it...works great

P2P should work though...it's virtually the same thing as the P28...message zeeman and ask him, he's the pro....I also HIGHLY recommend after you get the car together to take it to him and get him to tune it for you, he's the best.

the p2p ecu will work fine, but its an obd2 ecu.

What year car are you working with here BLAKOUT88?

i'm working with a 97 si.....and thanks again jamie uve been really helpful....zeeman i really would like for u to check it out once its done cuz ure preety much a guru on here lol

thanks again jamie, i do have another quesiton...what do you guys think would be the best combitnation of parts for now all i have planned is si tranny y8 head and a6 block and si intake manifold

Y8 head and Intake (it breathes better) and head gasket (it's the correct thickness for higher compression), si tranny is good....someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think a 96+ intake will fit on a Y8 head?? FYI check this out --> SolBlu's Helpful Del Sol Site you should be around 10.3 CR versus 9.1 CR stock A6....just make sure you get it tuned and don't be alarmed if you get some detonation (at least before the tune)
