done changing all the valve seals and putting all the valve springs back in. The headgasket i got seams like its for a different motor...some of the holes are smaller than the holes in my head/block, and some are blocked off completely.. Is this normal or should i contact the company i got my kit from?

Also the ARP head studs dont all seam to go in the same distance into the block...is that because my threads are dirty or just because thats what they do? none of them will be in the way of the cams, but it doesnt seam right to me.

according to my book, it says 19 ft lbs for the h22a cam holder bolts...would 1 ft lb difference really snap the bolt? =/

Wow... snapped eh? Maybe those bolts were already streatched from being used before. That extra re-torquing might have just put a tad too much tensile stress on them and pop!

That sucks. hopefully you can find another set and get the broken bolt out ok.

the torque wrench is fine..i think the bolt was just ****...still waiting on my easy out...If its not too bad for taking out, ill try again with the bolts i have (ive got 2 complete engines and one is completely disassembled, so ive got a lot of spare bolts). If the second one breaks too, ill just buy a new set of bolts when i can afford it =/

well..all the bolts are on now..only broke 1 more bolt in the process...haha. Good thing ive got 2 sets of bolts. Now i just need shifter cables (impossible to find, anyone know if accord shifter cables would work?), an intermediate shaft (also impossible to find...same question, accord intermediate shaft?), a timing belt, and get my flywheel machined...then it will live!
