idle/tranny problem?

ok so i just bought a 91 civic with a dohc zc (witch i love!) but im having a very strange issue with idle....so i start the car and she idels fine, as soon as im moving and bring the rpm up past 15 it jumps to a lil over 22. now this high idel remains that high reguardless of anything, clutch in, clutch out, brakes on, braks off, UNTILL..i come to a complete stop and only a complete stop. at that p[oint it will fall back down to its normal idel. untill i start to move again!. this is killing my gas milage! its driving me nuts! any ideas?

oh and 1 more lil thing, is anything in the guage cluster run by a cable? it sounds like something is spinning and making more noise than it should inside and freaks me out everytuime i notice it. anyway to fix it?

thanks in adavance everyone and merry x mas

the rattle is the speedo cable. its goes from the transmission to the cluster. thats what makes your speedometer needle move up and down showing how fast you are going

dunno about the cable, but as for your idle issue, no one is answering since it's hard w/o looking at the car.

what ECU are you using? is there a vacuum leak? where is your ignition timing set at? is the coolant topped off? have you rebuilt the FITV? FITV fix can be had on honda-tech... How to fix your idleing woes! FITV IACV - Honda-Tech
