Sal, I changed mine shortly after the break in was over. After reading many threads on 8th Gen about the shifting, I wnated to prevent any problems ASAP. I have still yet to have any of the problems that many people have had on either of my Si's.

I changed the oil on mine for the first time today. I asked them if they change just the oil or if they would also change the filter, and they told me that they always change both on the Civics. Apparently only on the Odysseys do they change the oil and not the filters.

Anyway, I saw that they put synthetic oil in the car, and that both the oil and filter were replaced. The good thing is that it didn't cost me anything because the 1st oil change was free. In my case, I got them to do the 2nd oil change free too, but I guess I won't have to do that until later on this summer. The only bad thing was having to wait 2 hours for the service.
