Just as the subject says... Are those yellow license plate covers legal? I didn't think about that before I bought them, and now that they're on, they're attracting a great deal of attention from my friends and colleagues, but I hope I don't get the same kind of attention from the cops if they're not legal. I put them on for both the front and rear plates... Somebody got a clue about this?

If you look at the fine print on the package it should say "for off road use only". They are all illegal. My friend was ticketed for his smoke ones ($120 ticket) last week.
