Who knows their paint?!
Who can tell me what kind of paint Flamenco Black Pearl is?
Is it a 2-stage metallic or a tri-stage paint....I've researched on shooting solids and techniques on shooting metallics. But i'm thinking a tri-stage paint with metallics and pearls sounds kind of intimidating....just need to know what to learn =)
And i'm correct in assuming that a 98 civic is FBP and not NBP (nighthawk black pearl)....because i think i see blue flakes in my paint (NBP) not the red ones (FBP)
Reason i ask because i read somewhere that Milano Red was a tri-stage and was thinking wth....looked simple to shoot, but apparently its an oj base+purple pearl to make the red.
I guess i'm intimidated by the fact i've always believed candys were tri-stage.

its a base clear two stage.
sometimes pearl is already mixed inside the base.
they usually tend to be called for example flamenco black pearl metallic.

Thanks man!
Yeah FBP has red flakes in it...supposed to put out a faint faint red glow and nighyhawk black is the opposite w/ a blue glow; I think honda used small flakes so they may be hard to see. After a freshly washed car you can see em out in the sun.
