Have you done this conversion??? If you haven't then you shouldn't speak...

where the grille attaches to the rad support has to be cut off... if that's not a mod, then I'm a goat's ***.

i have done this conversion to 3 cars.
i have this conversion on my previous car i did it for 3 of my friends cars so i think i kno wat i am talking bout.
u do not need to do watever ur saying since there is a 1 piece light support instead of the two piece light support u get on the civics.
THANK YOU COME AGAIN!

Booya, where the peice is for the upper Civic grille, and the outer plastic clips go (by the rad support)... they get in the way of the EL grille... so it has to be trimmed out... not talkin about the lights. Maybe you did some fuct up Civics LOL j/k... well that's been one experience with the EL conversion.

oh did i forget to mention to u that the 96-98 civics (ie. URS) and the 99-00 civics are DIFFFERNent?
maybe THATS y u had this problem
cuz on the 98 civics its WIDER and on the 99 civics its SLimmer so if u wer gonna do even the simplest of conversions like the 99 conversion on a 96 u would have to do that mod.

So technically i win u loose:P

The dude is now tryin to slap a SiR lip on the EL bumper... you know anything about this?? It should fit right?

You know what... everyone and their mother was saying it's all bolt on, it's all bolt on... but when it came down to it... it was discovered such was not the case. I'm giving the guy fair warning.

wat dude is tryin to slap a sir lip on?
OFCOURSE its not a direct fit.
its needs mods forshure and even then it doesnt look 100% perfect y? cuz the bumper of the el is shaped differently (goin inward) therefore making the sir lip have no support for the backing.

the waring u gave the guy is incorrect and u put some harsh words out there for me to by sayin oh have u done this conversion before blah blah blah.
now i wasnt bashing u and i think u werent tryin to bash me either but i was merely educating everyone.
i work at a bodyshop i think i know a few things here and there.
the so called bumper supports are different on the 99/00 and the 96/98 and since he has a 99 si it is a DIRECT BOLT ON. and i dont see me saying anything about an sir lip

Oh, this was a 98 hatchie it was done on... there is the difference then... cuz definitely there was cutting involved.

Ya, there is TONS of ELs with SiR lips on them... check clubel.ca I was just asking if you knew how to toss one on... but I can find out for sure elsewhere, no biggie

Oh ya, for sure didn't mean to sound harsh... but ppl toss it out there like the conversion is so easy, and when it was attempted on the 98 hatch we ran into issues. That's why I said, don't take what ppl say on the net as facts till you know for yourself. We discovered the hard way its not bolt on in this case... dunno about 99/00s

Oh ya, I also got burned with a GSR sway bar which everyone said fit, but I found out the hard way it fits, but the endlinks gotta be GSR on a 6th gen. It's bullshit info ppl give out w/o knowing for sure... that's why I asked if you done them before. No offense, right?
