Paint

On the side of my door I have a black strip.... LOL I hope you guys know what I'm trying to say.... Also at the bottom of the door I have that black strip.... Anyhoo, I was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to get it painted so it can match my car.. (silver) ... My guess the black strip is plastic so if I did get it painted, and someone dinged me, would the paint stratch off easily?

i got mine done for $280, but i have a DX and i got the following things done:

- side mouldings
- bottom panels
- trunk piece (around the plate)
- mirrors
- door handles

that was one of the first things i did when i got my car...

It wouldn't scratch that easily on the trim - the paint shops put a flex agent in the paint to allow it to absorb "lifes misaps" - but after a lot of dings it will start to chip.
