Anybody know where and how much this would cost to fix? It's for a 93 civic.

What is broken? It has more than likely just come off the 'hanger'.

If you pull on the cable does the hood still 'pop' (but the hood lever has no tension in it?)

The hood still opens but the mechanic had to use pliers to pull the cable to get the hood open. Do you know what's the problem?

Yeah, I think I know the problem...but may be tough to describe.

On the back of the hood lever there is the cable attachement. A little way dow nthe cable there is a sleeve that protects teh cable. The sleeve connects to a bracket about an inch off hte back of the lever. If the sleeve falls of that lever, you have no leverage to move the cable inside the sleeve. So what you need to do is reattach the sleeve to the bracket. (It just slides into it)

Give that a go...
