How Would I Disable My DRL's?

How would I disable my DRL's on my '99? You guys think I'll have trouble with the law or should I be ok? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated it.

Thanks,
Fred

simplest way would be to pull out the fuse.
a litle more complicated.
would be to remove the DRL relay and the fuse.
that would be the PROPER way of doing things.

police wont trouble you with that ****.
they could careless

don't do it... DRL makes you visible in foggy weather or even when the sun is low on the horizon and it glares a lot. DRL makes driving safer for all of us. I hate it when americans drive around w/o DRL here in canada (cuz they don't have DRL) it's really annoying!!!!

so yeah, keep them if you can!!

Any car build for canada after June 1990 must have daytime running lights. It is a Federal law, not provincial. Although it is not illegal to disconnect them, I would leave them hooked up for safety reasons as the others have said.

DRL suck...cuz at dusk I like to use my corner lights only not my full out headlights...I'm concious driver and when weather conditions are adverse I turn on my headlights for mine and other driver's safety...but for regular booting around I'd rather have em off...unless u hook em up like a caravan so its just some amber corners as the DRLs, I like that look

my car is from the states and doesnt have them... i have my fog lights wired so they are always on as long as teh engine is on since i want to maintain some level of saftey. the cops dont care at all.

most people just pull the fuse to disable them.. you can take out the DRL controll module if you are hardcore

find your fuse panel, look at the diagram on the back of it, pull out the DRL fuse, and DRL relay..... voila

I hate DRL's, I see way too many idiots driving around @ night, or in adverse weather conditions without their headlights on, because they think they are ok with DRL's on

I could see disconnecting DRLs if you had some real foglights (that were yellow), because I heard somewhere that just having the yellow lights on in fog lets you see better, thus just having your side markers on. But having a 4th gen, I don't have the problem because I don't have DRLs....
