how do i disable drl on 99 1.6 el

how do i disable drl on 99 1.6 el
is it something i can do myself or somebody at a garage need to access the onboard comp.

wouldnt this disable the high beams as well because when the drl are running the high beam light is half turned on in the dash..

Not true, I pulled the fuse on my hatch and my high beams still work.

Same here, just pull the DRL fuse that's all
