cleaning windows

Ever since I took off the tint in my car, I can't seem to get rid of smudge marks/streaks. I've used windex, as well as tried vinegar & water mixture. The windows are clean, but I keep getting the damn smudge marks/streaks. I've tried using paper towels, terry cloth, and newspaper and still no hope. Anyone suggest anything else?

You try WD40?

You'd be surprised what it can do.

WD40 on a rag.

Is WD40 safe on Tint?

I've purchased 20/20 Eagle One Window Cleaner and used it on paper towel, sunlight clothes, it leaves watermarks or streak. It looks so damn clean without light at night but when the sun is shinning NASTY you can see where you wipe and ****.

No, the only reason I recommended it for this application is WD-40 is good for clean gunk and grap off stuff.
Heavy crappy gunk, not dirt. It'll add so much grease to the window that there will be tonnes of streaks.

It will help to clean the gunk off the windows then you'll have to use windex to clean the greasy WD-40 off the windows.

What i remember after taking off my tint, it had left a lot of tough smears and smugges from the tint..

You might want to try and use a strong plastic peice with semi sharp edges and scrape it off by applying some of that soapy water at the same time.. Then wipe ur window with paper towels afterwards...

I hope this is what ur talking about...

I use Eagle one 20/20 with a terry cloth and it works great and is the easiest stuff I've ever used.

Ammonia, razor blades, and 000 or 0000 steel wool

That's what I used on mine.

It's not the glue from the tint that I'm having problems with. The glue and crap is completely off and the window is smooth. It's just everytime I try cleaning my windows, I'm getting smears/streaks.

Ahhhhh... okay then. In that case: glass cleaner, "Marty towels" and plenty of elbow grease
