With as many flaws as the article points out I would consider the OS itself to be a virus.

No, but they could go cave exploring if they wanted to, since they don't spend their time defraging, cleaning registries, and re-installing OSs after 8 months

maintenance of anything used heavily is required. you need to change your car tires, replace your wipers, replace your spark plugs, check your oil levels on your car don't you?

mac users make websites for their cat and can go cave exploring because they are unemployed potheads?

Your assumption is that one drives a gasoline powered car, an alternative (maybe not today so much) such as an electric car requires very little maintenance in comparison, and accomplishes the same task (again, maybe not today, but its merely an example, not an invitation to debate electric cars)...Same thing with computers...

PC users stay in their basements playing computer games?? playing stereotypes won't win you this argument...

mac users drive their ev1's to their ultimate tournaments after uploading the newest "uber ghey" pictures of their cat "mr giggles" to their website

meanwhile in pc world...the world of warcraft and barely legal porno runs rampid in the damp, musty, dark basement of his parents house where the 38yr old still resides and has yet to touch let alone see a naked woman which hasnt come through the warm glow of his 20" CRT monitor
