Red light camera tickets
Has anyone been nabbed by these before? I was driving north on Vic Park and turned right on Lawrence, did a rolling stop cause there were no cars coming and proceeded to turn right. What's the fine for this and has anyone got off from it in court?

They will send you a letter in the mail from what I know.
I know that the cameras take two pictures- one just before the light turns red, and the other- after it turns red. If you are making a turn for example, and are already in the middle of the intersection before the light turns red, then you are fine.
I don't think the cameras catch someone turning right, dude.
Theyre more for red light runners (people who go straight through the lights)
You never know, though.

I've been jooked out of $290 before... Got 2 pics of my car, and a closeup of my plate for that price... that's almost $100 for each color picture At least I think it was $290... maybe it was $190, I just remember at the time it was like WOW!!

from what i heard that because its only a photo of your plates, someone will have to pay of course, but dermerit points will not be deducted because they have no proof of the driver of the vehicle, from my knowledge.
just like the old speeding cameras on the highway i heard that they couldn't exactly give it to the culprit b-cuz they can't prove who was driving

ummm this doesn't stand up in court at the moment because the picture is suppose to have an overlay of the name of the 2 roads crossing to form the intersect on it (according to the law the Ontario government brought in for it) and if it just has some code printed on it that was ruled to be not enough information by an ontario traffic judge so for now take it to court if it doesn't have the right information on the picture. The law (for once) is very very specific... but seriously if you see yellow hit the brakes and stop .... then you won't have to deal with this... it's so unsafe to run a red anyways...
