ok question...red light cameras are they for the ones who just run right through or are they also for the ones that are turning and go way into the intersection when the other light turns green?

the one at Eglinton and Martin Grove hasn't been working for a while... I drive through there everyday for work and i've seen a few people run the light and never seen the flash go off like it used to..
unless they made it all stealth now so that it doesn't have to flash... that'd be freaky

Don't they do rotation at certain intersections? The fixtures are still there (i.e. post, box, etc.), but may/may not have the cameras in it. I thought that was the case.

umm there are none in Mississauga, but a few in Scarborough ?
Most of them are in North York !!!! dammit
And why not too many in downtown core ??
I think they are just decoys cuz it was not working .
People were getting tickets on left hand turns when light turned from yellow to red.

I think there's a system that can determine if you're sitting at an intersection to turn left or if you're just blowing a red light going pass the intersection. I don't think you get a ticket for turning left after red.

if you've ever gotten one of these like me, you'd know it's a digital photo of your car, 2 shots, plus a shot of your license plate, the shots are right when you trip the lights, and then a fraction of a second later to show where you are in the intersection (ie. turning left right or going straight). it also gives you your speed, time, etc...
so I think a person actually screens the shots, taking away speeds of under for example 5 km/hr. in case anyone was wondering, I got one of these a number of years ago, I think in 1999 in Ottawa, intersection of baseline and riverside... I still remember it and I still have the ticket to remind me never to run a red light. the fine was $320, no points applied since they don't know who was driving.

I can't imagine you've never been stuck behind some assclown who didn't know when to turn left and you ended up hanging out in the middle of the intersection on a red light forced to turn... that happened to me that day, that's why I posted up this thread. I was trying to make a left, but the guy in front of me never went and I ended up having to turn on a red.
