Sound like you flooded the engine which gave more tention to the pull starter and you messed it up. The bearings never go on pull starters, you just need to replace the pull starter and thats it.

You can also look at those electric wheels that spin the flywheel instead of using a pull starter b/c pull starters are garbage and always break. You need to take it easy with them.

What exactly was the issue with the fuel, was it feeding threw? Maybe the line are dirty, replace them with brand new ones, they're really cheap. Maybe the tank or pump is shot? If it's feeding threw to the throttle body then your issue is either with the idle screw (maybe it's too closed) or the lean/rich fuel mixture (you need to adjust the little **** connected to the tb)
I think it's more likely the last issue. You can also check the glowplug b/c those get weak once in a while, I had to change mine quite a bit when I had my nitros.

Both have their pros and cons. Personally I have one of each, cause once in awhile you'll get pissed that your engine in your nitro won't start, so you just throw a battery pack into to your electric and off it goes.

I buy all my stuff at Galaxy Hobby in mississauga, Central Parkway and Mavis, Derry has really good prices on kits and parts and he stocks a lot of replacement parts for his cars.

What's faster? Hard to say theres a lot of factors, engine size, motor turns, brushless motors, number of cells, gearing.

What are you looking at getting into though, onroad or offroad cars? I've owned 2 onroad cars, an HPI RS4-2 nitro and an HPI RS4 rally electric with a 17turn motor, and 3 off road cars, a traxxas nitro rustler, traxxas T-maxx and a team losi mini-T. Out of all those cars I think the T-maxx was the best, its rugged, it's fast out of the box now with the traxxas 2.5 motor and you can jump it, cause that's what R/C is all about lol.

Remember that the fastest recorded r/c car run was an electric, .21 powered 1/8th scales are fast no denying, but electrics aren't as slow as you think. You can check out this link if you don't believe me.

Fast Electric

10mins of play? That really depends on your electrics. Brushless motors and li-poly cells have a big impact on runtime. My 8 cell (nimh batts) mini-t with a 8000kv brushless gets like 20-25 mins of runtime even when Im doing speed runs on pavement.

bearing for starters will eventually wear and need replaced.
more or less in offroad trucks and what not rarely in onraods but the pull start could be gone as well ...

try cleaning it might be a quick fix ...
electric starts have some downfaults too ... have to carry the starter/ensure the battery is charged what not ...

these things are a ton of fun but do require some what of a degree of patience ...

not sure if it applies but with my old Revo MT here are common issues when it wouldn't start:

- flooded, flip trunk over and turn over with electric start to clear
- electric start battery too low (always this one for me)
- glow plug burnt out

electric start was great and easy to use...but the battery always needs to be fully charged or it probably won't turn it fast enough. i loved my Revo...jumped it huge, tore up the yard more then once, waterproofed electronics box and used it all winter too when it was -5 or warmer. they are wicked fun and can take alot of abuse. hobbyhome is where i got my parts from but as for where to buy a RC car/truck it depends where you are.

offroadrc.ca is a great canadian RC forum
