faster internet

my friend said if i run 100mb cable from my modem to the pc it would be faster
is this true? from the standard 10mb cable from modem to pc

i doubt it would be all that much faster... the signal will still only go as fast as the modem and lines going into the house allow

It wont make a difference... is this for Residential Services? If so then Rogers Cable is offering the Extreme Service 5 mbit, thus the 10 mbit standard wiring is sufficient.

Nope, not true. The provider cap the download and upload speed thats coming ang going from your system, it wont go over that cap but it will go under *hahahha*

it will only make a difference if you have a LAN and transfer stuff between pc's...won't make a different for the internet.

visit both sites check out how much it costs monthly to upgrade to a faster connection/transfer rate. . .

That's bull****. If you run your cable past 1000+ feet, then you can expect a lack of speed. Tell your freind he's a dumb ****.
