do I have to do e-test and certify before selling?
I have a buyer for my car on Monday. Am I responsible for certifying and e-testing my car before he buys? E-testing is every 2 years and mine was done last year. Will he have to e-test it when he buys? If so and if by chance it does fail, does he have the right to come back to me? Thanks.

easier to sell a car when it is e-tested and certified, no hassles, no waiting , he gives u the money and registers it right away
save u time and him
i have certified my civic and etested , now just waiting for buyer
hopefully within 36 days , thats how long cert.. is valid for

It's ur choice ... usually u can get more money if it's already done & typically it sells quicker... however some ppl prefer getting the car as is b/c they "know" someone who will do the work for cheap so it'll pass safety... depends on the buyer... however you wanna do it is ur choice

Thanks for the replies guys. I had the car e-tested 11 monts ago. I heard that that would be still valid until next year. So does that mean the buyer doesn't need to e-test until next? Also, when selling the car "as is", does it have to be on paper that it's sold as "as is"? In other words, after the buyer purchases the car, does he have the right to come back to me if it doesn't pass safety?
