i put it on the centre vent with zip ties cause i was paranoid about drilling into my car if i ever removed it

personally I'd recommend the blue wire going to the gauge cluster all cars have it even if there is no tach there.... thats where I hooks my tach up too and it works like a charm... reason I recommend there is 2 fold... no need to go through the firewall again (or find a gommet you can sholve the wire through)... and the second reason is under the hood is hit with the elements of the road and therefore the wiring could be exposed to this.

then again this is just my opinion on the topic... if done correctly the enivorment won't be a factor.... but that involves heat shink and electrical tape and soldering
