You can set the tolerance for the "shaking" so it can be either picky or tolerant. You get a warning beep for the first offense within a given amount of time.
For the door opening, the alarm responds to voltage drops during the instant the light inside the car turns on. That's an immediate trigger of the alarm.

I went to future shop to get an alarm after my car got broken into. I spent like $300 and got a basic Avital alarm with an extra horn inside and a starter kill installed. If the battery is disconnected the alarm goes off. The horn inside has its own batteries so needs a key to turn off (very loud). Plus I sport the alarm stickers on both front windows so you can easily see it and I have the flashing red led inside. You can also get a sensor for the hood so if it is popped the alarm goes off, I think that costs no more than like $50 to buy and get installed, well worth it! $300 spent can save you your car in the end!!!
