redline removed?
how much does a new motor cost nowadays? take what you want to get for it and minus how much a new motor costs and thats how much its worth. who knows how many times youve had it up to 10k without blowing it, especially if your using stock tach.
on a real note, dime a douzen. find out how much a stock hatch with that motor goes for and thats what youll get

like i said before on the first page $4000. Being in the executive marketing department, there is one heavy lesson i learned, time is money, and these three words work with every kind of money transactions. By the time you end up deciding, you might not even get $4000 for it, the car market is dropping hard in terms of prices, there are countless articles of why? because people are starting to buy from America.
Not only that, $4000 may seem little now but it will seem a heck alot more if you wait too long and end up selling it for even less. Selling used cars like this is basically a gamble, you have to be selling at the right place at the right time. Like you said its summer, and most likely there is a new guy looking for something modded.
Just put it up on autotrader and wait and take down numbers for one week, then sell to the highest bidder. AND CAUTION, if your first offer is $4000 or little more like $4300 but not what you were looking for, still sell it, few hundred dollars off what you think is reasonable is much better then something you would hate to settle for.
i know its tough, and one can get greedy sometimes, i remember when i was younger in university, some 8 years ago, and i had a modded vr6, i had the first guy who offered me a good deal but i wanted more, i kept waisting money in adds and looking for a better deal, but it just got lower and lower, i ended up selling it for 2000 less then the first offer i had 8 months earlier.
good luck though.

Cars are the BIGGEST money pit.. ;s
IMO.. just keep it and boost it
your not getting all that time and money that you invested into it back.
so either cost yourself a couple of thousand, and by that i mean the loss ur going to have to take to sell it.. or keep having fun with it till it diess

Honestly dude, I would keep the Civic, unless you've had your license for a few years, the insurance is gonna kill you for a bike. My bros went from 3500 a yr to over 8000, just cause of people speeding and doing dumb **** on their croch rockets. Trust me on this man.
