You could also consider upgrading/changing the suspension.

nice car.. way to rock an SIR
Really?

I see gains in mileage on 94 ocane. Plus on 91 octane I've pushed 645km's without the fuel light coming on, on a tank. Usually I get 500-550 per tank in my 00 SiR with a mostly easy driving and letting it loose a few times.......How are you getting such bad mileage??? Driving it like a mad man!?? LOL

The worst gas mileage I ever got outta my old B16 hatch was 225km's....haha

When it was all tuned by Andrew (zeeman), I was back to getting 400-450

congrats and welcome to the EM1 club..
i'd consider tune-up like metioned previously ie. plugs, wires etc. a nice mobil one oil change would do it good...check crappy tire, they currently have mobile one 4L jug + 1 free litre on sale..(shameless plug and i don't even work there no more) and start putting your pennies away for a nice suspension upgrade!..

CamUsing high quality synthetic lubricants will ensure your engine is operating at its best potential. Amsoil synthetics have also proven to increase fuel economy. Some have reported as much as 15%. My own experience has been in the 9% range.

Cheers
