Alright well here are the pictures I promised. One shows the engine stamp, serial code, and the Stamp of the Tranny which is a Y80. Then I have some pictures of the valve cover and intake manifold, as well as the ECU.

looks like a 1st gen B16

hope this all gets resolved...

but let this be a lesson...... for something as major as a swap, spend the extra $ and go to a reputable shop

too many scammers out there

that is a dirty *** engine you think they'd atleast clean the damn thing ...jsut from looks that is a old *** engine whether it's a a2 or a1 ...that is not a obd II motor that is a old *** b16a and that isnt' what you wanted so either live with it or take it back.

the distributer has green plugs on the a1 and grey on the a2 as to what I can remember..

basically it comes down to this..it was either a auto a2 or a a1 and he needed the gsr tranny to make the swap work with hydro clutch...because he woudl have just used the stock ys1 tranny instead if the y80

I went to the place today, of course Ervin wasn't there, but he did confirm that it was a 92-95 2nd Gen B16A and the guy tried to tell me it was a 95 which isn't any better, after I told him it was a '91 he just shrugged it off. So basically I am going to have to live with it, or perhaps later on sell it or something. Its still a good JDM B16A. I did however get the right axels today, and the mechanic told me he'd install them plus fix the other problems I was having. I will still have to buy a Wiring Harness, and the mechanic told me I can still do Emissions with the OBD-1. Still gonna talk to DaRizzla for misleading me into thinking he was selling me a 96+ engine w/ OBD II. Also this is interesting, at the shop I saw the engine I was originally supposed to get which was dropped on delivery. I checked out the Engine serial # on that one and it was a 1xxxxxx which meant it was from a 1st Gen OBD-0 so definetly this guy had it in for me from the beginning. If I were Dot.T I would take a second look at the engine he has sold. It probably isn't what it appears to be.

Darizzle is a slug...I feel bad for you...the motor didnt' even get steam cleaned.. give it a full tuen up timign belt and water pump and plugs and wires...or run teh risk of the valves meeting the pistons on your 3000 dollar motor....how did he know it was a 95 engine...what was his argument..?? I'd say run her for a year then upgrade to a OBD II GSR or trade up now....

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I mine as well keep her for a year or something. He siad he did clean it, and it was pretty clean, but after the installation it got real dirty. I dunno how he determined it was a 95.. its just what the guy said. But for sure I will do a full tuneup once I get the ECU up and running along with those axles

well unless he took a big **** on it after teh install I dont' think she got cleaned....what kinda shop adds 10 years of road grim on everything....ya I mean if it runs good...but I'd upgrade to a obd II gsr later on and not deal with darizzle aka *** guzzler.

Is there an admin or something that can check if Darizzla has created a new screen name? Guy has not called me back and obviously does not intend to. Just curious if he is still trying to rip others off, my goal is to not let that happen
