help with tire size for 2000 sir rims
if ne1 out der can help me out...i jus got 2000 sir rims and the tire size on them are 195 55 r15 and im putting them on to my civic 92 vx hatchback...is their any other sizes that i can use if i cant these tire size without damaging the rims or the car itself? can i go for 195 60 r15? or smaller..nethin or jus the size that i got it with

As long as the tires remain the same overall diameter then you will be ok. Too big or small in diamater will throw off your speedometer and odometer. 205/50/15 would be a good size because they are slightly wider and lower in profile.

i am using 205/50/15's on my SIR rims. My car is lowered 1.75" as well. I've never had a problem with rubbing or anything b/c my car isn't that low. By the way the car is a 95 EX coupe.

As suggested by DumbasSi, you have to minimize the discrepancy in speedometer (& odometer) readings.
The OEM tire dimension for the 5th gen. VX is 165-70-R13.
If you use the existing tires (OEM SiR tires - 195-55-R15), your speedometer reading is 6.1% too slow.
You may want to check the discrepancy with other tire dimensions with the tire size calculator:
