some hamilton roads are bad.... but they do not compare to the 401 in toronto....

i dont think hamilton is an armpit at all.... some areas in the downtown are shaddy... but every bigger city has that...

yea true, the mountain is a whole different world. but i'd say ALL of downtown hamilton is 'shady'. I feel sorry for those people that live near dofasco/stelco especially.

PS - i dont find the 401 bad...i find roads like kenilworth, upper wellington, fennel terrible. Wellington between concession and fennel is non-stop big *** pot holes. I swore i'd never take that road when i dropped my car.
