It was awsome having you guys out! There was lots to learn and hope everyone asked all the questions they wanted answered and got enough hands on experience.

On the B20 we rewired the OBD2 Dizzy to OBD1, swapped the igniter, did a valve adjustment, swapped on an OBD1 alternator, swapped all the belts and installed a power steering pump and AC pulley. On the car, we pulled the axels, dropped the ball joints, pulled the motor, swapped the shift linkages, coverted the D series harness to work on the motor - extended the O2 wire etc - then did all the prep work on the new motor so it would just plug and play when installed. The ***** part was making power steering work since different cables had to be run and pressure fittings needed to be changed. The motor went in smoothly and but the engine mounts weren't from the right car so new ones are being sourced today and the car will be out of the shop and good to race.

I try to get as many affiliated clubs out to these things as possible since it's good for all us Honda clubs to stick together and share resources. The next HADA peep needing work done will most likely host the next one so I'll pass the work along if I hear. This year we have agreements with 3 different sponsors for shop space and are planning on doing tech sessions for simple jobs like axel swaps, balljoints, brake pads and rotors, brake flushes, coolant flushes, thermostats, etc. Then more advanced classes for engine building, tranny building, more welding classes etc. if there's enough interest.

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Was really cool to see so many people out.

We get the shop space as part of our HADA sponsorship deal - it's a benefit we offer for joining our club. With our TCC affiliatoin agreement we open up all our events to you guys and even extend discounts wherever we can. We are always looking to recruit the next generation of racers. For now though, the space is only for HADA member cars to make our members more competitive racers and make grassroots more affordable to grow our sport.

That said, there's nothing stopping you from joining HADA and slapping up a post to see if a few experienced racers can make it out to teach you how to do it. Then in return you teach someone else. It's the circle of Tech.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to thank everyone that came out on the weekend to help. I was totally taken aback by the number of people that leant a hand, many of which I had never even met before.

You guys are awesome. Thanks Miles for posting it here.

I was able to find the correct mounts so I took the morning off work to get them installed so that I could get the car off the shop's hoist.

So everything's now set. All that's left to do is connect all the lines and wires, swap the ECU, cross my fingers and turn the key!! I'll be doing that on Saturday.

Thanks again all
