VTEC - Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control.

header does not mean exhaust manifold - a header has equal length 'tubes' whereas an exhaust manifold is designed to 'fit'.

'shock' is not a proper term. It should actually be 'shock absorber' or 'damper'. 'shock' is actually short for 'shock absorber' and if you think about it, it has the opposite meaning of what it is supposed to do.

DOHC - Double Overhead Camshafts
SOHC - Single Overhead Camshaft(s)
OHV - OverHead Valve - camshaft is in the block

CR-V - Comfortable Runabout Vehicle

'Suspension' does not mean springs and dampers. Suspension includes control arms, bushings, stabilizer bars, knuckles, springs and dampers...

SRS - Supplemental Restraint System (they supplement seat belts).

Okay, I can go on and on.... I know they are not all related but good to know....

your '05 has struts. 88-00 has a coil spring/damper combination (Like your 89)
