That's my thought exactly. Look at it this way.. Young drivers are like puppies: They are full of energy, chewing on everything, and sh!tting everywhere until they grow up.

the human brain isn't fully developed until roughly 25ish. brain activity is still higher in the amygdala than in the frontal lobes so you make silly decisions. I stopped driving like a jerk at around 20ish, partially cuz my daily drivers/winter beaters were old, slow, and fragile... so I didn't wanna break them.

LOL. I've had 2 minor speeding tickets in the past 6 months or so. Both were under 15 and no points. I saw the cop coming, but I didn't actually think I'd get pulled over because I was on some random country side road near my house in both cases. I think I'm going to get a radar detector.

Yeah, the fine and points for getting caught with one are probably more then it's worth. I've gone years without getting a ticket, then 2 in such a short time for such a small amount in money and kmh over.

i was meeting a someone to buy something from him - i was already there waiting, he pulled in, and right behind him a cop car came flying in like an idiot, cop says "gimme your radar detector"... taken away on the spot.

HTA 79 (2); Speed measuring warning device prohibited
Between $160-170 fine plus 3 pts. Of course, you also lose the detector on the spot.
