Question attn: all 89-91 si owners and zc owners

Just wondering what kind of rpm's do you guys have crusing around 140 km/h in 5 th on the highway or 160km/h i'm just curious cause my rpm's seem to be a bit low now that i have an si tranny i went to a web site crx math and it says 160km/h should be about 4800rpm i only have 4500rpm close to what a dx tranny has normally at that speed. I am just wondering cause my swap was supossed to have an si tranny just wondering if why i got such a big diffrence?? Guys if you can check what you have on your readings, could my speedo be of that much how can i calibrate it?? Plus are there some numbers on the tranny that tell me it is an si tranny???

One other question, is with the zc computer i have now, is there any way to take off that speed limiter that cuts the fuel of at 180km/h?? Not that i got that fast but you know sometimes **** happens and you don't want to get cut off at 180 when you're in the middle of something

dx sleeper, as for your speedo, i'm told my numerious people taht your tach can be off a couple of hundren rpms. give or take, for example, i could have a zc and my tach will be off.
-> but i could be wrong, i'll take mine up, if i'm up for it, but i know that at about 120, i sit at about 4200 or something, i'll varify

but yeah, i could be wrong, but tach's once you get a swap aren't as reliable as they use to be. i don't know how to re-caliber it.
--> if i'm wrong, someone please correct me.

hmm if you're sitting at 4200rpm at 120 km/h than your speedo must be really off according to the calculator you should be doing 138km/h ?? How do i go about re-calibrating my speedo anyway ??? Defcon Racing did my swap i would really be shocked if that's not an si tranny in there and belive me he would be installing one for free it isn't an si one right now. I very much doubt it though i don't think Dave is the kind of guy to cheat me on a tranny, by the way my tach is aftermarket so it is pretty accurate since it is hooked up straight to the motor. My tires are same as stock 175/70/13 that 's the same thing as 185/60/14. I need to get this fixed cause it is really pissing me off.

Everything in my swap looks great and i had the valve cover of to do a valve adjustment and it looks brand new, it runs great so that's why i doubt Dave would cheat me on a tranny since the motor looks so good and everything was done as asked. Will keep you informed once someone tells me how to re-calibrate my speedo

DX Sleeper
-> 120 = 4025 (give or take, between 4000 - 4100) rpm
-> 140 = 5000 rpm

hey that's why you don't see a toronto civic club sticker on my car right, the way i drive and the speed i drive is up to me. It's Canada, it's a free country i know the speed limit, speeding is optional everybody does it, just idiots do it during traffic and rush hour when the highway is free and open everybody drives at least 140 anyway

I don't want to give the club a bad name that's why i keep the sticker underthe hood where nobody see's it when i'm driving

Your tach sounds about right.
I remember my Si engine being at about the same range as you. The highest I remember seeing it though was about 5500 RPM but I"m not gonna say how fast I was going...
