my reply

im sorry this is an old post they never deleted.
i am still selling the car but its being sold for no less than $1200

i had put more work into the car recently, brand new exhaust front to back, TPS sensor , spark plug wires , spark plugs, custom shift **** and ebrake handle , pillar w/ gauges and an after market tach. also since i am selling the car all my spare parts are to go with it. in cluding extar bare block (bottom end of engine), spare intake manifold, brand new alternator, fuel injectors etc.... i have been working with these for over 3.5 years and is my 3rd little rocket. i am currently married and am going to be getting rid of the toys and get something a little bigger. also the car is now etested. just needs a horn for safety but i would check the rear brakes. i have already looked over the front but i dont like touching rear brakes. as for that i have all kinds of spare stuff to go with the car and its etested, for $1200. after i am assure you are purchasing the car it will be getting a clean on the inside w a fresh oil change so you dont need to worry about that for a bit. the car does burn little oil ONLY when cold and in first gear when you take off. . no tranny grinds always took care of it when ever something broke or went it was replaced, i am affiliated with a civic club and am always travelling around going to show and shines / car shows etc...

i do have many pics as i included some in this email. (p.s. i enclosed a picture of the rear quarter damaged piece)

Thanks for your interest.

you should accept it and
then deposit the cheque.
and dont give him anything

the good thing would be it is a real cheque and you dont have to worry about it
the bad would be it bounces and they remove it from your account.

Just by the way he was talking I thought something was fishy. He cant even spell cheque right.

If he wanted to do it properly, he could give you a certified cheque, money draft, or even legit cash. Stupid kids with nothing better to do.

BTW, cheque is spelt check in the States and other countries, so the scammer did spell cheque correctly.

Sure he can.

"Cheque" is the Canadian/British spelling, while "check" is the American spelling.

There are all sorts of minor variations in Canadian/British vs American spellings of nominally english words.

However, as far as I know, the word "scam" is still spelled the same in all english locales.
