Buyin a car - Help

Alright.. Out with the old.. in with the new... er....

I am looking at getting rid of my '88 Civic SE. As much as I love this car I found a different car.

Newer car is a '94 Civic Si Coupe. 1.6L Vtec motor. 5spd. 280KM on it. Car has new tires, battery, clutch, starter and the WP/TB was done at 260k. The car is in mint condition other than some rust around the gas cap which is normal. Other than a system the car does not have any mods. The guy is asking $2400 non cert/e teasted.

From what I've explained does this sound like a decent car or do I keep my old EF?

well nothing really major can be wrong... i know its going to sound dumb... but the only big concern, is a very poorly maintained vehicle, bad front end, brakes, and other minor stuff adds up pretty fast, but things are cheap if you shop around, and 3500 for a 97 doesnt seem too far-fetched if you ask me, i dont think you'll regret it, go for it!

Yes. D16 with 127 hp. The Si will have a power moonroof and most power features. They were also available with a/c and abs in the G-package.

I had a 98 Si and it was a great car. Lots of parts availabe for it and it was very fun to drive.

Maybe I should just go all out and get my self an '07 Si.. or maybe try and get one of those Mugen Tuned Si's their sending over.. if they ever do.

Alright so I should look for a '96+ but keep this '94 in mind?

yea go for 96-2000

I love my 99 hatch....there are MANY more problems associated with the 92-95 especially because of the age.
