Vigilante FTW!!!

I wouldn't have robbed them though. I would have taken the vehicle description and plates, and the list of other cars and parts....

Bunch of low-life bastards!

nice job man

Good thing about being part of a car club or two....you can get the word out and lots of ppl will know, makes the thief think twice...

Its about time something like this happened to would-be car thieves! Good work man! I wouldn't worry about them coming back, you have dirt on them that I'm sure they are worried about!

Absolutely true. I don't disagree at all with what was done, but you just don't go posting stuff like that on the net admitting to robbery and assault. the net postings aside, nice bro, I ****ing hate theives. Watch your back and your car though.
Wow man amazing story. This is one of the best stories I have read in a long time. Should have reported him though, you had all the evidence against him. The guy is definetly going to seek revenge on you. And just for the record stealing a car is not attempted theft under. Its consider Theft Over $5000 and its a big deal. Either way though, it was stupid to post that you robbed and beat the crap out of the guys (even though the deserved it). I hope you kept the name with the addresses. It would be nice to contact those people to give them a heads up.

Also you should really push going to the police with this. Perhaps you could get a confession out of them. Who knows, they could be linked to many other car robberies, maybe even a shop chop where other cars could be recovered. You might be able to help some other people out. Think about it.

I highly doubt those two guys are going to report anything. They tried to steal the guys car! If they go to the cops then they are just flat out retarded.

By the way did you try checking them for ID? Might have been faster then doing a check on the License Plate.

Yeah the problem here is that if you live with your family and these people are crazy, you never know people they may come back and harm you and your family. Just be careful, hopefully they just take the beating and leave you be as they know they deserved it.

But many people have more pride than that.

True, what if they were using a stolen car? Then the tags come up stolen = wrong address.

to all the idiots out here saying " good job man " this guy is in mroe trouble... how do u know that they didnt get your plates? and your frinds plates? u can be charged with assault and they would end up haveing th elast laugh cause ull be in jail and not driving ur car afterall.... the smart thing would have bin to call the cops as u saw them again at 6:05 or whatever folow them as you did and give the cops precise directions to that school lot in which they were..and posting it on the internet doesnt help things either... but u probably are "smarter than you think"... right?

after reading the story again i just noticed that the guy who did all this with his friends is really really screwed.

1. you did not see them do anything.
2. you accused them of doing something.
3. you started to chase them and they ran
4. you then beat them up
5. you wanted them to confess
6. you robbed them.

there is no proof as to them doing it. from a legal point of view i would start looking for a lawyer just in case. sure there might have been papers saying jdm front end 1000 and blah blah blah but how do you know that wasnt a price list they got? because they can easily say that. also it is theft under because they didnt steal the vehicle and based on what he is accusing these guys off its theft under for stereo equipment.
