I would have gotten in their car and neutral revved it till the engine blew and grabbed their keys and threw them somewhere far away.
I would have threatened their life if they ever came near my house again and kindly reminded them that I have their plate number.
But, you're a nice guy so I'm glad you let them off easy.

should've video taped it and put them in jail.......
Video tape them trying to break into your car, and have 2 other guys sitting in cars that will reverse to the front and park at the back. Cant leave then. And while all this is happening, you are sitting in your bedroom video taping everything.
They break your car, you get insurance money, etc etc etc.
