Am I getting a good deal?
Hi all, im planning on buying this black 2006 civic coupe ex (manual) privately. It has 80k and the guy was selling it for $11000 and was able to only brought it down to $10600. He also wants to reimburse me the cost of the safety and etest (so basically around $10700 in total). The car is in good condition, nothing wrong with it (no catch whatsoever-- fully investigated it).
So basically im just asking a simple question like if u were in my position, would you buy it? Im just asking because dropping an almost $11k (all my hardwork, my blood and tears lol) is a little bit too much for me. I just simply need someone else perspective. Thanks!
***also lets say i bought the car and register it, of course i need to pay the tax for it. How much should I ask the seller to write down on the bill of sale so i wont have to pay too much tax. I know for sure that i wont be putting down some ridiculously low price as it wont make sense to the govt and will only put myself in trouble.
PLEASE NO SMARTASS COMMENTS OR AS SUCH. BE SERIOUS! I JUST NEED A GUIDE AS I HAVE NOONE

seems to be a good deal, take it to ur mechanic first, or just go to a dealership, i'M sure u can find a great deal there. i did this past summer, took home a 2011 FA1 Civic sedan fully loaded. for under 28,000 fully loaded.

like the others said seems like a good deal me being cheap and all i"d try and talk him to ten straight/// :P but it all depends on your bargaining skills haha motortrend.ca has a cool feature where you can look us the cars year and model and find every thing down to how much the car with cost in repairs, gas, depreciation, and such and gives it a rating on this they also have how much it should be priced at but i believe someone already gave that on blackbook but other than believe it or not i was actually just looking up this car on motor trend earlier today as i want one overall it scored "average" but did better then the other cars i looked at with maintenance costs great car good price, good luck!
