So, if there is still a market for it, I think it will stay. Also, why would you redesign a car only to drop it after a year or two. Does not make sense.
I'm willing to bet the 2009 Civic will have Navi. They are slowly getting rid of the CSX... first it lost it's 197hp advantage over the civic.... now it's leather... soon the civic will get Navi... only a matter of time. The Mazda 3 comes with HIDs so maybe even HIDs in the civic? At least projectors.

Brian...as you yourself said it...perhaps the only distinguishing feature that the CSX now has is the Navi plus the Acura name. buyers are very savvy now...they wont pay $7K more (in case of CTS vs. SI) and over $9K (in case of CTS and EXL) for just that or perhaps not a lot of buyers for Honda to make business sense. A typical new honda civic buyer is a more or less a family person like you and me...so i guess we have alot of other bills to pay first..haha

Whether the CSX stays or not....its only a guess but imo, not a bad one. The price parity difference with US has a major role to play...the SI in US is considerably cheaper than Canada.

What would be good is if we can see what the stats are on the car for sales compaired to the top end 4 door Civics.

If Acura decides to drop it, it will depend on those stats imo. The CSX was made specifically for Canadian consumers. It also brings an entry to the Acura line up that sets up for the TSX.

We will see what they do. Time will tell.

the CSX also has paddle shifters in the automatic...not sure if that is enough for most people to justify the price...but there are definitely still some (small) differentiators...again, not sure if its enough to keep it around...

the paddle shifters might appeal to the pretend enthusiast... cuz honestly after driving the thing they're so unresponsive... i'd rather have sport shift mode than the paddle shift crap...

Not quite. It's still comes with a SOHC engine. CSX and CSX type S are both DOHC. 155 and 197 respectively. The Civic leather is about 140

... and the 4DR Si does not have an option for leather.

... so it's not the same as the Acura CSX Type-S.

the si sedan is a much better value than the csx-s in my opinion. leather seats, navi plus the acura label is not worth the extra $7K difference. thats all that is different b/w the two.

damn...i might buy the si sedan next year :-)

You can't get leather on the Si Sedan...so if you want leather+K20 you have to get the CSX-S....you can only get leather on the EX-L...

I totally agree. I would never go for the leather seats on the new Civic. They don't look all that nice anyway.
