I don't think this will be the end of the CSX/EL line...
I think there are still a segment of people who want a car exactly like a civic (maybe a little nicer), but not a civic because everybody and their mother has one...CSX/EL fits that to the letter...

Maybe not. But the fact you can get a Civic Si now and leather in the EX, doesn't make it good for the CSX. The EL/CSX was essentially the Civic versions of what we didn't get and the States did. Now that is not the case any longer. Unless you want to have that Acura name, there is no real difference other thant the Navi. At that point, I would rather get the TSX over the CSX any day.

Yea, tsx is way nicer then the csx
only reason why those other countries have the leathers in their civics is because they dont hav acura there. Acura is just for rich countries like Canada and the US where people think they are better then the honda counter parts :P

Does the Civic EX-L (or Si) come with automatic climate control now?..

If you got an e-mail from Honda.com... how are you sure leather is coming to Canadian Civics?
Edit - See it already on Honda.ca
Leather-trimmed seating surfaces (EX-L)
The CSX Premium is going to be a hard sell over a Civic EX-L

the CSX may be on its way out from the lineup....if you look at the new revised lineup of Honda Civic (leather, 200hp motor etc)....the CSX has lost alot of ground in the overall Honda portfolio. Infiniti and Lexus do not have a car this small....so if Acura starts from TSX onwards, it only makes sense to me.

I agree. But having said that, the big difference (depending on who is buying) is the CSX comes with navi. None of the Civics do. Including the Si. Only the Si in the states comes with Navi. Both CSX and Type S comes with DOHC. One at 155 the other at 197. The Civic except for the Si are all SOHC. The CSX is the same style as the Civic in Japan. So, if there is still a market for it, I think it will stay. Also, why would you redesign a car only to drop it after a year or two. Does not make sense.
