Finally got the skunk2 from ebay. Was skeptical of the seller after I did some research on them and was tracking the item through UPS. But thankfully it got here.

Also contacted skunk2 about the replacement bushing and they do sell it separately.

Now just have to find a day when it's not ***'ng snowing to install this bad boy.

keep us posted on how it feels when you install it... if nothing is wobbly after the short shifter install, im gonna try and return this rebuild kit, as the short shifter seems like an easier bet

wobbly is because of the bottom bearing in the shifter probably. my advice, get a short shifter and bushing kit from teknotik. that will take care of it. if you need install ill do it for you

Still haven't gotten a chance to have it installed. Been very busy. Now I'm starting to have trouble shifting into gears at times. Not sure if it's shifter related or my synchros (hope it's not)

efsedan: Where are you located? Do you have your own shop?

Its a bushing where your shifter conects to. You can get the repacement at honda. Or if you get a solo short shifter they come with the new bushing.

FINALLY got the shifter put in today, along with some other work.
No more slop and stiff as a board.

read the first post and look at the pic. the busing inside the shifter that attaches to the shifter linkage is the problem. the ES kit is for the rest of the bushings installed. the fidanza shifter includes actual ball bearings instead of bushings and works way better.

Just ordered the SKunk2 short shifter to try to solve the same problem and have a stiffer shift. How long did it take you to install the shifter? did u do it urself?

Where can I get the Energy shifter bushings?

to make sure your shifter does not wiggle when its on gear. check the shifter linkages where it is connected to the wide rubber bushing at the back. you will notice that it is bent a little bit. therefore bend it straight back and it should bring it back to stock spec. also, tighten all the bolts including the one in the tranny side. Also, replace all bushings aswell. The reason why you have to bend it back is because sometimes you put weight on the shifter when you are driving, you're actually bending it from time to time everytime you drive. Plus the tail on the linkage gets weak cuz of rust so thats why it gets so damn loose.
