98 Clutch Replacement
Hi all,
i'm new to honda, just bought a 98 LX almost a year ago, it now has just over 200k on it.
the clutch started slipping before winter but as temperature drops, the slipping seems to be gone. so i waited until now and the slipping is back....
i bought an exedy oem #08022, have a shop installed it, but when the mechanic test drive it, it's even worse than before! it was just slipping a little in 2nd, and sometimes 3rd, now it's really slipping...
anyone knows why?? shouldn't the #08022 be an exact fit?
thanks for all your help!!!!

I'm sure someone will chime in and tell me if I'm wrong but I'm having a similar problem with my Civic, but since I'm about to replace all the parts involved, I never really bothered to figure out why, but I'm suspicious in my car and yours that the problem could be a leak in the input shaft bearing seal. Some times my clutch slips more then others. The cars park till it's fixed for now anyway but I know on mine that the input shaft bearing is bad and I'm planning to replace the seal at the same time but I think maybe trans fluid is getting past the ISB and then onto the clutch it's self.
