2002 civic/with a 05 tranny

just wanted to know if a 05 tranny would fit in my 2002 civic sedan....its an automatic tranny.....does anyone know what else i need....couple of people have told me that i would need an 05 ECU but i heard that its not really necessary...can anyone please help me

i know manual can fit but not sure about the automatic

they should fit due to the fact that theyre the same engine (d17 i believe) if anything in the years above 2002 they can make motor tweaks but the tranny should always stay the same
