The correct fluid is honda MTF which runs around $7/L. I think two will do? It's been a while since I've changed the fluid on on.

I've ran 5w30, 10w30, SAE 30, and a few other different grades. However the best I found were Mobil 1 5w30 full synethic, and Honda MTF.

Whatever you do, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use full synthetic as the only oil in your transmission. I made this mistake and 6 months later I had to change my transmission. The problem is that synthetic does not have the proper coefficients (sp) to properly lube the syncros. It also slides of the gears much easier making the metal to metal damage more extensive when shifting.

I've had many civics and integras and what I found works best is a 50/50 mix between synthetic and convential mtf or gm syncro mesh. If you drive your car hard this mix will work very well.

Just my 2 cents

Engine oil should only be used as last resort and temporarily. Use Honda manual transmission fluid or another brand of MANUAL TRANSMISSION FLUID not engine oil.
