HAHA...couldnt believe the cop showed up for a tint ticket, but when i checked the log, he had 6 other people to convict! saved myself a 140 dollar ticket
on a side note,
A prosecutor told me today that FROM the date of an Offence on the ticket, it will be wiped out of their systems in 2 years!
Is this true?
works the same way for insurance?

regarding the insurance, i wasnt asking cause of the tints...
moving violations....sorry, i guess it wasnt clear....
tint was 5% in the front....tints arent allowed no matter how dark or light, judge said so

What I think the judge means is the windshield is not allowed to have tints.
As for your ticket being in the system for 2 years...if it is thrown out it should be removed ASAP. It will show that you were charged and that the ruling was thrown out. The insurance company can't use that to increase your insurance (but knowing them they will find something else).

the judge said no tint at all, to the left or right window of the driver! guess it's upto the officers discretion on what's too dark, or no tint at all!
but if i am convicted e.g. speeding, will the ticket remain in the system for 2 years from the date of conviction or the date i recieved the charge?

well, the HTA states no colour coating obstructing interior right?
now all we have to do is find out how dark is OBSTRUCTING the interior......
on a side note, yesterday, or was it the day before, saved myself another 317 bucks by showing up in court (doing a 90 in a 50 zone!)
NONE of the officers showed up that day, LOL, the judge was pissed!!!!! LMAO!!!

i asked the cop that was at first episode with pacer what the deal was on tint. they had it on their flyer too.
to drivers left and right windows. no tint is legal. cause it's the cops discretion as to what is to dark. u could even be ticketed for 95% tint. (that's as light as it gets i think)
this rule is so u can see the suspect u're chasing and the police's safety (driver isn't holding a gun etc)
but most cops don't bust you for this.
also, if u see factory tint (OE not aftermarket done on behalf of dealer) are any %age around and they leave the driver and passenger door clear. check any minivan or SUV.
