We were doing an engine swap for a friend this weekend, so i loaded the engine into the back of my hatch and headed to Sudbury.

I am on hwy **, in the 2 lane section. There is a stretch to pass, (dotted line), so I decide to pass this car that is going the speed limit (I usually go 10 or so over). Stupid me, didn't realise I have an engine in the back, so it slows down my civic even more. Dotted line starts to end, and I decide not to pass, step on breaks and get behind car. Unfortunatly, there was a cop comming the other way, and he did a UTURN and pulled me over.

He took my slips and info, and went back to his car. He then honks his horn, telling me to get out of my car, and come get my ticket. Has anyone ever heard of this? In my opinion, i would think if a cop feels unsafe to get out of his car on a major highway, it would be rediculous to have someone else get out??

He was really nice, but I don't understand why I would need to get out of MY car to get a ticket he was writing me??

LOL well said... i dont know man, if i were you i would have just sat there and put ur hands on the wheel and waited for him. unless he came to your window and told you: please get out of the car. u know?

Cuz its the long weekend and they are on quota?

Cop says he could have gaven me a "careless" but he was "nice" and gave me improper passing. Although, I never went through with the passing. I guess he says its illegal cuz he had to brake a little?

I dunno.. I'm going to fight it.. I dont need a useless 3 point son my record.
