Leaked Internal Police Memo

For those of you who are indirectly involved or tend to make appearances at some of the illegal street races in Southern Ontario...you should read this...sent to me from a friend at TSR

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Toronto Police HQ issued this memo from joint chiefs of police, to numerous law enforcement agencies in the GTA, the memo is dated July 24th. The text that I'm posting is not the actual memo, but it sums it up.

"The memo named a whole bunch of security companies that have their own vehicles and do industrial alarm response. The memo went on to say that all of these companies are being put on alert to watch for street racing activities in industrial areas, especially those in Brampton, Mississauga, and Scarborough. The companies are being given a special number to phone when they spot any number of vehicles travelling in groups through industrial areas, or when they spot what they think will be an impromptu drag race. They go on to say that a special detachment of undercover police vehicles will be on patrol and in standby locations to be immediately dispatched to these areas. It was also saying something along the lines of security video from buildings and parking lots being collected."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just looking out for everyone...

haha.....

Ooooooo, we sit at a doughnut shop ALL night. We MUST be up to no good. Please. that's so funny. I guess an $8/hr rent a security/cop wannabe would want to do more work than they ACTUALLY have too.
I find that hard to believe. All the power to the cops for trying though.

You know how you catch street racers?

Hire regular people to go out there and mix in with the regular folk. That's how they'll get caught. Any volunteries?

It's just like car insurance Alan... I don't drive like the average twenty-something male, yet I must pay the same amount as them due to their driving records or habits. Meaning, because I drive a Honda Civic Si (R) I'm automatically categorized under a group that's known for speeding, reckless driving, etc... and therefore I must pay a ridiculous amount of money per year just to drive normally from point A to point B.

It's the same with a persons' appearance. If you look or dress a certain way or you have a certain skin colour, ppl automatically assume things about you.

It's all about stereotypes... discrimination...

that stupid duck saying comes to mind.

You think that if they took the time to draft such a memo, they might come to the conclusion that could just patrol these areas?
But then again, they wouldn't have the time to pull over every modded import and ticket for bullshit. That's the money maker, and the reason they can authorize overtime and extra officers. Do you think that these guys are really going to work hard at losing that money and those positions?:fustrated

I also received the same request from my employers...also requested to look out for motorcyclists in particular riding in pairs or groups late at night. I dunno...I haven't seen anything...

Yah i don't know how to use this message board..haha seeing how i'm hardly on...........only like once a week.........but the Peel Regional Police have regular ppl who mix in with the crowd...they have purchased about 5 civics and a couple of accords to mix in with racers at parking lots like Rona....etc. . .and they follow street racers there....in some cases line up to race....call in the plates.....and they can't pull the racers over themselves so they have a uniformed officer to do it while they are racing a marked car pulls in the area turns on his lights chases the racers down.....making sure his partner escapes.....but really it'z all planned and yah.........

That's called entrapment, and it's illegal.

They would have to be asked by a street racer to race.....they can't ask themselfs. If they are not on the police's payroll, then that's a different stort.
