Knocking!

Knocking!
Hello All,
name's David. I just wondering what you guys would do in my particular predicament. My car is a 2000 hatcback civic.. entirely stock at this point. I went for a cruise a few weeks ago and and heard a slight knocking in the rear of the car... didn't pay much attention, however now that i have throw on the summer rims the knocking has been amplified... I was driving infront of my friend when i received a call from him saying both of my rear wheels are wobbling...hmm... i changed both rear wheels and same thing..
My 2 best guess are : wheel bearings are shot to ****!
trailing arm bushings are shot to ****!
i was thinking maybe swap everything over to rear disc brakes or simply replace the parts... I'd be doing most of the work if not all myself...
any suggestion is appreciated.

Could be a number of things. What do you mean by "wobbling"? Like as if the wheels weren't bolted on tight?
If it's that bad, jack the rear of the car up and grab the tire at 9 and 3 and wiggle. Do this again with your hands at 12 and 6. Any play or movement?
If your wheel bearings are that bad, you'd hear them roaring. My guess is rear control arm or trailing arm bushings.
Either way, sounds serious if your friend could see the wheels wobbling.
