haha well i would, but i cant, my g.f has taught me quite a bit acutally so im moving from begginer to amatuer. As soon as i get the camera it will be full hardcore mode for learning. She takes amazing work that some stuff i will have to post up, so i figured i'd invest the money into some good quality and then i wont come to a point where i run out of things to do.
Also i made fun of a friend for getting Xti so i cant go back on my word haha

yup, that's exactly what I meant.
Thanks xray.
I started with a 40d as well. Now I own a point and shoot...lol. 40d is a great camera, just get good lenses. My best advice is to invest in lenses, and not a camera body. If I were to purchase a dslr again, which I might. I would just stick with prime lenses.

sticking with prime lenses is okay if pretty much all you do is studio work...or LOVE carrying around 3 different cameras with lenses hanging off them...getting stuck with the a prime lens thats too long or too short sucks and swapping lenses in the field sucks and carrying a bunch of lenses sucks...good body + nice VR 18-200 = ultimate walk around, exploring all-in-one kit
