it's the actual short movie shot with the camera. It's pretty damn nice looking

The XS is the waste of materials so that people will buy a new entry level Dslr. I'd rather buy a used XT than that! LOL
They call it a reheated XT. 10mp sensor, and live view.

imo, canon wasted resources coming out with a camera they've already produced before.

XS and XT are not the same though. the new one is 10MP..plus other features

No they aren't the same, but 2mp won't make a big difference, and live view isn't something that interests me. You could pick up a decent used xt for under $400.

My overall point is that they developed a 10mp camera that doesn't really do anything new aside from live view. They could have been upgrading the xti or even the 40D, or fixing issues with firmware on existing models. etc.
